MURMURATION
A Celebration to Dream with Bees & Wake in the Hive
(w/Nico Wolf, Ryan Wolf, Elena Greenlee & Charlie Cattrall)
- High Acres, Shelburne, Vermont, October 2019 -
The hum inside the honeyed hive
…a shared dream
A cloud of 10 thousands bees
…a shared movement
Sun shining through each beating wing
…a shared vision
Weaving and humming
…a shared rhythm
A new Tree to welcome them
…a shared home
A place to build a better tomorrow
…a shared hope
What happens when we trust the shared dream?
What might we hear when we seek to listen?
What movements rise from the explorations of our collective play?
Where do we land when we dare to take flight?
…
We are on the brink. The structures we find ourselves in are crumbling.
It's time to take flight.
To trust our shared dreams .
To seek a new Eden.
ABOUT MURMURATION:
Murmuration worked with the knowing that humans are a super-organism. Our gathering was an experiment in group dynamics, intimacy, and creativity born of dreaming with the animate Earth and seeking guidance from the spirit of the honeybee.
Our work culminated in two offerings of Devotional Theater theater the original sense - an offering to the Gods.
With the guidance and invitation of four facilitators (actor Charlie Cattrall, actor and screenwriter Elena Greenlee, Martial Arts & Liminal Artist Ryan Wolf, and Liminal Artist & Ceremonial Facilitator Nico Wolf) twelve creatives from around the globe gathered at High Acres Farm for four days of intentional dreaming, animistic ritual, embodiment practice, deep inquiry and group ceremony.
Our practice was a wildly celebratory exploration of anything-goes-ness, where Shamanic practice, movement and ceremony allowed us to step out of the ordinary and into the place of the betwixt and between where anything is possible. As we hovered in this liminal landscape, this place of radical hope - amid the times we find ourselves in, and the new eden we dream of - we freed up the riches of a new reality through the unapologetic freedom of creative expression. We witnessed unleashed individualism light up the living constellation of community. And, as we woke more fully to all realms of possibility, we rose and dared to take flight within the murmuration of the collective dream.
